In Fatima's sunny living room, afternoon light streams through a window as Fatima kneels beside a small bowl of seeds, smiling warmly at bright green Meethu perched on her hand, wings slightly spread in excitement.
Fatima came home with a bright green parrot. She smiled and said, “I’ll call you Meethu!” Meethu chirped happily. Fatima gently fed her seeds. "Let’s be friends forever!" Fatima whispered. Meethu fluttered her wings in reply.
In the sunlit living room, afternoon rays light Fatima standing with bright green Meethu balanced on her forearm; Fatima beams as the parrot tilts its head, beak open, boldly squawking 'Shukriya, Fatima!'
Every day, Fatima spoke to Meethu in Urdu. “Assalamualaikum, Meethu!” she greeted her. Meethu listened closely and sometimes tried repeating words. "You’re so clever!" cheered Fatima. They laughed and played together every afternoon. Meethu started saying, “Shukriya, Fatima!”
Indoors at a small desk cluttered with notebooks, Fatima leans forward over homework as bright green Meethu perches on the desk edge, beak open, squawking 'You can do it, Fatima!', prompting her to break into a surprised smile.
Fatima taught Meethu to say kind words. Meethu loved making Fatima smile with new phrases. One day, Fatima felt sad about her homework. Meethu squawked, “You can do it, Fatima!” Fatima laughed and hugged her parrot close. Meethu cheered her up right away.
In Fatima's dimly lit bedroom at dusk, she stands beside an open window, curtain lifted with one hand, brows tense, while bright green Meethu perches on the sill, wings half-spread, chirping 'Be careful, Fatima!' toward the quiet street outside.
One evening, Fatima heard a strange noise outside. Meethu quickly chirped a warning, "Be careful, Fatima!" Fatima felt safe with her friend nearby. She peeked out and saw nothing was wrong. “Thank you, Meethu,” she said. Together, they felt brave and happy.
