Joe looked nervous as he walked into class. "Hello, I'm Joe," he said softly. A friendly teacher smiled, "Welcome, Joe!" Joe found his seat next to a new friend. "Would you like to draw with me?" his friend asked. Joe grinned and nodded happily.

At playtime, Joe saw his friend had lost a pencil. "You can use mine," Joe offered kindly. "Thank you!" said his friend. The teacher noticed and smiled. "Sharing is a good life skill, Joe!" she praised. Joe felt proud of being helpful.

Joe couldn't tie his shoelace. He waved for the teacher, "Can you help me, please?" She knelt and showed him how. "Cross and pull," she said softly. Joe tried and tied his laces by himself. "You did it!" everyone cheered.

At lunchtime, Joe received his favorite fruit. "Thank you for the apple," he said to the lunch lady. She smiled and winked. Joe shared his apple slice with a friend. "Thanks, Joe!" The classroom buzzed with happy voices saying, "Thank you!"
