Inside Adrienne's small apartment entryway at dusk, Adrienne grasps her buzzing phone and floral scarf, eyes lifted to purple clouds outside the open door. Liam waits in the dim hallway, smiling invitingly.
Adrienne’s phone buzzed. "I’m sleepy," she thought. Liam called, "Come out—it’ll be fun!" She peeked at the dusky sky. "Fun?" she wondered. "Okay, yes," she said, grabbing her scarf.
On a wet city street corner in late afternoon drizzle, Liam raises an arm, grinning, while Adrienne laughs beside him. A vivid rainbow arches above brick rooftops, raindrops glinting in soft gray light.
Liam waved at the corner. "Race you to the park!" he said. Raindrops tickled. "Look—colors!" Adrienne gasped. A rainbow arched over rooftops. "Up the hill for better view!" Liam cheered.
Atop a grassy hill under clearing evening skies, Adrienne spins with arms stretched, face radiant. Beside her, Liam watches a brilliant double rainbow that glows against receding clouds, warm golden light bathing the scene.
Wind brushed clouds aside. "Whoa—another rainbow!" Liam shouted. A second arc shimmered above the first. Adrienne twirled, arms wide. "Saying yes brought us here," she laughed. They whispered wishes into colors.
On the hillside path at twilight, Adrienne and Liam exchange a crisp high-five, joy lighting their faces. Behind them, a faint double rainbow dissolves into indigo sky while distant city lights shimmer below.
City lights flickered below. "Fun can be gentle," Adrienne said. "And surprising," Liam grinned. They high-fived, skipping downhill. "When the sky calls, we’ll answer," she winked. The double rainbow faded; their smiles stayed.
